One of the basic determinations in the pharmaceutical field is the determination of bacterial endotoxins (LAL tests). This determination determines the amount of pyrogenic substances in the sample. Pyrogenic substances are all substances that can cause an increased body temperature in a patient after ingestion or administration of a medicament. Testing of final products is inadequate and it is necessary to monitor the occurrence of pyrogenic substances during the whole production process.

Based on repeated demands from our customers, we reduced the detection limit of the method from 0.025 IU/ml to 0.005 IU/ml for the determination of bacterial endotoxins (LAL tests) in waters and raw materials used in the manufacturing process and pharmaceutical products.
This method extension applies to analyses performed as well under ISO 17025 accreditation certificate.
