Testing of environmental samples for chloroalkanes (SCCP, MCCP)
Mar 28, 2014
Recent legislation including the Water Framework Directive from EU calls for identification and quantification of short-chained chloroparaffins. Traditional instruments such as GC-ECD or standard GC-MS are not suitable for testing in accordance with the new regulation as an effective separation between SCCP and MCCP is not possible. Hence, chemists at ALS have developed a new method using GC-MS-NCI in order to provide clients with a solution that fulfils the demands in the European legislation.
