Overview
Dieldrin is, similar to Aldrin, named after the German scientist Kurt Alder.
Developed in the 40’s as an alternative to DDT, Dieldrin was used extensively as an insecticide until it was banned in most countries in the 70’s.
Toxicity
Dieldrin is a potential carcinogen and an Endocrine disruptor.
